Victory Programs’ Celebrates a New Victory by Making The Art Connection! Through its art donation program, The Art Connection facilitated the donation of 20 original works of art by 15 artists for installation in Victory Program’s New Victories residence. New Victories provides residential treatment services to men living with HIV/AIDS, mental health issues and head injuries, who also may have substance abuse issues. The Art Connection and Victory Programs have worked together to transform New Victories into a more welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
Longwood Symphony Orchestra Concert Benefits The Art Connection
The Longwood Symphony Orchestra is partnering with The Art Connection for a special concert event to celebrate The Art Connection’s 15th Anniversary on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 8 PM at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall. Tickets sold by The Art Connection will benefit the unique art placement program.
“Just As I Am,” a 50-year survey of the work of Fay Chandler, artist and founder of The Art Connection, will run from September 16th to September 27th from 9am to 5pm daily, at the Cyclorama Building of the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont Street. The Elder Service Plan of North Shore will hold a reception on Wednesday, May 19 to celebrate the donation of 20 original works of art from The Art Connection. The reception will be at the newest of the four innovative adult day health centers that are receiving the donated artwork.
